First stop was lovely Valparaiso - a magical place with an unusual system of funiculars (sort of elevators), lots of cobblestone alleyways, colorful houses and graffiti everywhere! I can really understand why it is an UNESCO World Heritage Center!
Loved the seafood!
And my final stop was in Santiago de Chile. Even though many are of a different opinion, I actually liked Santiago more than Buenos Aires. It might not be as pretty, but it is much more relaxed and has a great restaurant and bar scene.
My last steak in South America - sniff!
Well, that was South America main land. Now I am off to Rapa Nui for four days before I fly to Tahiti where I will meet James again! Hurray! :-)
It looks so sunny and nice... Back here we got 30cm of snow and the temperature is crawling towards -10C.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're having lots of fun with the boy in lieu of posting pictures from Easter Island. I miss you lots! (And I couldn't make out your email address.)
